PROTECT THAT EGG FOR AN "A"

Coen's physics' lab experiment a few weeks ago, was to construct a protective covering for a raw egg to remain intact after dropping from a 3 story spot. (The photos are a demonstration for parents after the experiment was carried out at lab.)

Materials to be used: Straws and rubber bands. His team constructed a triangular structure by bending the straws and using the bands to hold triangles together. The egg was placed inside this triangular prism. When dropped, it did not break.
Of the six teams, two were successful...way to go Coen, Sean, Amy and Nathaniel!

Dad watching ... perplexed? Probably...just like I was!
